State Representative Thiefeldt Named Chair Of Assembly Education Committee

State Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt feels he’s ready to chair the State Assembly’s Education Committee. Recently the state lawmaker from Fond du Lac was appointed to chair the committee for the next legislative session. He says he would like to see the state offer one of the best educations not only in the nation, but also be competitive with what other foreign countries offer. Thiesfeldt taught for 22 years including 11 ½ years at Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac. The last four years he’s served on the State Assembly’s Education Committee, but admits part of that was learning about how public education works. He says Common Core and expansion of School Choice are just a few of the topics the committee will tackle.
