Taste of Fond du Lac to Take a Year Off

The annual “Taste of Fond du Lac” event is taking a year
off. The event held on the third Sunday of August at Lakeside Park for the last
five years and previously held at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds will not
be held in 2019. Fond du Lac Festivals said in a news release that they voted
to rest the event for 2019, saying while the event continues to attract good
attendance – the challenge has been securing restaurants to participate because
of labor shortages. In 2018, Fond du Lac Festivals helped local charities raise
nearly $250,000 from proceeds of both Walleye Weekend and the Taste of Fond du Lac.
Fond du Lac Festivals say the play to bring the Taste of Fond du Lac event back
in 2020.
