NFL:
Marquez Valdes-Scantling appears to be the Packers’ “go-to” wide receiver with Pro Bowler Davante Adams sidelined due to a toe injury. Valdes-Scantling only played 20 snaps in the win over Oakland but made the two longest offensive plays of the season. He was a game-time decision because of lingering knee and ankle injuries. Valdes-Scantling caught a 59-yard bomb from Aaron Rodgers on the first play of the second half and scored a 74-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Rodgers said he was proud of M-V-S for stepping up and playing despite his injuries. He finished with a career-high 133 receiving yards. Valdes-Scantling leads the Pack with 416 yards on 21 catches, and his five reception of 40-plus yards is tops in the N-F-L.
