–Tristan Van Ess scored 13 points to lead the Sabres in the loss at the Daytona Beach Shootout on Wednesday. Marian will play LaGrange College tonight at 6 pm.

–Rachel Serchen scored 22 points for the Sabres in the loss. Marian will take on Stevenson University (MD) at Noon today.
NBA:
Milwaukee 123, New Orleans 115
–Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 25 points and totaled eight rebounds and eight assists as the Bucks outlasted the Pelicans at Fiserv Forum. Malcolm Brogdon added 16 points, with Khris Middleton scoring 14 for Milwaukee – who improves to 21-9 on the year. The Bucks have won three in a row and five of their last six – they begin a three game road trip tomorrow in Boston.

College Football:
The Wisconsin football team welcomed 25 new additions to its recruiting class of 2019 as the early signing period for recruits opened up on Wednesday. The class includes 19 scholarship players, including heralded quarterback Graham Mertz from Overland Park, Kansas, and six walk-ons – four of which are in-state players. Wisconsin high school players earning a scholarship from the Badgers in the 2019 recruiting class include Leo Chenal of Grantsburg, Keeanu Benton of Janesville and Julius Davis from Menomonee Falls.
