WIAA Girls State Semifinals:
The Girls State Basketball Tournament begins today in Green Bay as teams from around the state hope to be hoisting a championship trophy on Saturday afternoon. In Division Three, the Laconia girls basketball team is making their first ever trip to state and will play Freedom this afternoon in the semifinals. Tipoff for today’s game is scheduled for 3:15 – our coverage begins around 3 on KFIZ and KFIZ.com

Men’s College Basketball:
Big East:
Seton Hall 73, Marquette 64
–Sam Hauser scored 25 points, while Markus Howard was held to just six points in the road loss for Marquette. Seton Hall closed the game on an 18-0 run to pull out the win. The Golden Eagles have lost three straight and will wrap up the regular season Saturday at home against Georgetown.
Big Ten:
Northwestern 68, Ohio State 50
Penn State 66, Rutgers 65
Tonight, Wisconsin plays its final home game of the season in welcoming the Iowa Hawkeyes to the Kohl Center. The Badgers sit at 12-6 in Big Ten play and 20-9 overall and are coming off a win over Penn State at the Kohl Center last Saturday. Iowa is 10-8 in league play and 21-8 overall, they’ve lost three of their last four, including an 86-72 home loss to Rutgers last Saturday. Tipoff time is at 6 pm tonight – coverage starts at 5 on KFIZ.

Wisconsin 65, Penn State 57
–The Badgers got 17 points from Imani Lewis and 15 from Marsha Howard in the win over the Nittany Lions. Wisconsin plays #5 seed Ohio State this afternoon.
Horizon League Tournament – Quarterfinals:
Green Bay 73, Cleveland State 30
–The Phoenix will play Youngstown State in the semifinals on Monday

The Bucks look to snap a two-game skid tonight at home against the Pacers. They finished a five-game road trip with losses at Utah and Phoenix, their first consecutive losses all season. The Bucks lead the East by two-and-a-half games over Toronto. Indiana is currently third in the eastern conference with a 42-23 record, six and a half games back of the Bucks.
MLB Spring Training:
Milwaukee 5, Arizona 4
–Erik Kratz went 3 for 3 with a home run and two RBI as the Brewers downed the Diamondbacks in Cactus League play. Milwaukee takes on the Chicago White Sox this afternoon. First pitch is 2:05 central time.
NFL:
Fan favorite John Kuhn is retiring as a member of the Packers. The 36-year-old fullback spent nine of his 12 seasons in Green Bay. Kuhn did not play last year after spending 2016 and 2017 with the Saints. He had 658 career yards and 19 TD’s.
