Cross Country Sectionals
The St. Mary’s Springs girls were 3rd
at the Division Three Sheboygan Lutheran Sectional on Saturday while WLA’s
girls finished 12th. WLA’s
Sarah Niehueser won the meet and qualified for state with a time of 20:37. St.
Mary’s Springs’ Megan Krupp was just 11 seconds back at 20:48 to tak 2nd
place. The Ledgers Page Case also got a
top 10 finish in 6th place with a time of 20:59. Both Krupp and Case also qualify for state as
individuals. The St. Mary’s Springs boys
were 7th and WLA boys were 8th at the WIAA D3 Cross
Country Sectional at Sheboygan Lutheran on Saturday. The Ledgers were led by Sam Busse with a 22nd
place finish. WLA’s top finisher was
Evan Schultz in 30th.
In Division Two Cross Country
at Cedar Grove-Belgium, Waupun’s Kyle Smith (4th) and Ripon’s Seth
Zimdar (5th) qualified as individuals for the state meet. On the girls side, Waupun’s Hannah Smith had a
6th place finish which got her to the state meet. Lomira’s Kaytlin Kuczkowski was 9th
and also gets a bid to the state meet.
On Friday,
du Lac
they finished 1st and 2nd at the Sectional hosted by
Oshkosh North. The State Cross Country
Meet is Saturday, October 31st at The Ridges Golf Course in
