Packers and Lions on Sunday as the teams play for the NFC North crown at Ford Field in Detroit. Packers Defensive Coordinator Dom Capers says he’s confident with his pass defense and that they have to limit the big plays from the Lions to be successful. Capers says the defense has done a good job rebounding over the past five-plus weeks.

Rex Ryan is out as Bills head coach after failing to get the team into the playoffs in two years. Buffalo was eliminated from playoff contention with its loss to Miami Saturday, extending its streak to 17 straight seasons without a post-season appearance. Ryan was 15-16 in two seasons with the Bills.

Nigel Hayes scored 20 points, Zak Showalter 18 and Ethan Happ added a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds as the Badgers won their Big Ten opener, 72-52 over Rutgers at the Kohl Center Tuesday night. Wisconsin is now 12-2, they play at Indiana on Tuesday.
