Springs advances to State Semifinals

A week after Zach Hintze became nationally known for his 61 yard field goal, the Springs senior showed his talents as a wide receiver, grabbing two catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns (58, 43). Springs routed Shiocton 37-0 en route to the D6 semifinals and have still not allowed a point in the postseason. Adding touchdowns were Blake Bauer on a 28 yard run, Mark Austin on a 2 yard TD run, and Luke Gellings on a 48 yard interception return for a touchdown. Springs will play Athens next weekend.
