FDL County Health Department Offering “Best Practices” for Celebrating Halloween During COVID-19
Despite COVID-19 case numbers continuing to rise, trick-or-treating remains a “go” for two weeks from now in Fond du Lac. However, local health officials are asking people to make a few changes to their celebrations this year to keep everyone safe during the pandemic.
Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller tells KFIZ News that their recommendations include the basics – wearing masks, social distancing and hand sanitizing – and keeping your trick-or-treating group small.
“We do recommend that you trick-or-treat with people that you live with,” Mueller said. “So that means household members go together – that’s going to be the easiest, because you’re already exposing each other, so there isn’t any additional risk then if you’re going to be trick-or-treating with your own household members.”
Trick-or-Treating in the City of Fond du Lac is set for 3:30 until 5:30 PM on Saturday, October 31st.
