Aerial Traffic Patrol Held Today In Sheboygan County

The Wisconsin State Patrol will be using aircraft and ground-based officers to enforce speed limits and other traffic laws today in Sheboygan County. An aerial enforcement mission is planned for I-43 in Sheboygan County.

Federal funds specifically designated to support traffic law enforcement are being used for the campaign today. The State Patrol analyzes data on traffic citations, crash reports and related information to identify highway corridors for enforcement initiatives. If weather conditions are unfavorable for flying, enforcement typically proceeds using ground-based units.
