Lifeguard Shortage Means FDL Pools Open Less
With temps expected to be in the 90’s through next Tuesday, it would be a great time to take the family or yourself to an area public pool. The challenge this year is finding enough help to keep the public pools open.
With a shortage of lifeguards, comes reduced hours for both the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Aquatic Center and Taylor Park Pool. Taylor Pool opens June 12th and stays open until July 4th, then will re-open Aug 1 until Aug 22. The Fairgrounds pool won’t open until July 5th and will remain open until July 31st.
Hours will be reduced as well this summer, with the Fairgrounds pool set to be open daily from Noon until 7p; Taylor Pool will be open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Season passes will not be sold this year, and there will be no free passes and no group rates available.
