Kathleen H. Smeilis

Kathleen H. Smeilis, 76, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.  She was born April 14, 1945 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Earl and Elsie Pickart Sonnenberg.  She married Willis “Bill” Smeilis and after celebrating 49 years of marriage he preceded her in death on November 24, 2015.

She is survived by her three sons, Pat Smeilis, Chris Smeilis, and Peter Smeilis; brother-in-law, Gerry Scharf; friends and caretakers, Sandy Pickart, Mary Wendells, and Eileen Kohlmann.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; and siblings, Donald Sonnenberg, Nancy Scharf, Joan Sonnenberg, and Ken Sonnenberg.

Private services and cremation have taken place.
