Doris M. Neuber

Doris M. Neuber, age 87, of Chilton, died on June 17, 2021, at Willowpark Place in New Holstein. She was born May 13, 1934, daughter of the late Martin and Martha Freund. On May 17, 1955, she married Ralph Neuber and they had four children.

Doris will be remembered for her gardening skills. She grew big, beautiful flower gardens, as well as delicious fruits and vegetables which she sold for over 30 years. She was almost as devoted to the neighborhood children as she was to her own, babysitting many of them, some of whom had stayed in touch with her the rest of their lives. 

Doris is survived by her daughters: JoAnn ( Michael) Casper and Karen (Randy) Kollmann; four grandchildren: Ariane Kollmann, Randy Kollmann, Corey (Eva) Casper, and Cody Casper; a great-grandchild: Creed Lueck; and a special niece: Gloria Wischow.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents: Martin and Martha; children: Michael Neuber and Nancy Neuber; and siblings: Reno (Marge) Freund, Margie (Eugene) Roberts, Gerald (Henrietta) Freund, and Sister Rita Freund.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 23, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 11:30am until 1:00pm at the funeral home on the day of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Doris Neuber.
