Motorcycle Crash Sends One Man To Hospital With Serious Injuries
Alcohol appears to be the main cause of a motorcycle accident Sunday evening.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was notified at 8:24 pm Sunday (8/15/21) of a single motorcycle crash on County Road RP/Van Dyne Road, south of Cemetery Road in the Town of Friendship.
Preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle was traveling northbound on when the driver lost control of motorcycle and went off the east shoulder of the roadway. The lone occupant was ejected from the motorcycle and came to a rest in the east ditch.
The driver, a 32-year-old Oshkosh man was flown by Theda Star helicopter to Theda Clark Medical Center with serious injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
Assistance at the scene was provided by North Fond du Lac Ambulance, North Fond du Lac PD, Van Dyne Fire Department and First Responders.
