Jacque Back On Senate Floor

At the Capitol Monday, state Senator Andre Jacque thanked those who’ve supported him during his lengthy recovery from COVID-19.

“Covid knows no political, age, race or geographical boundaries. So I just want to offer a message of hope. Despite our differences, we can all come together in this building.”

The 40-year-old De Pere Republican was hospitalized in August and spent weeks recovering. Jacque has never discussed his vaccine status but has been an opponent of vaccine and masking mandates. Monday was his first time back in the Senate floor since contracting the virus.
