County Sees Slight Drop In COVID-19 Numbers

The COVID-19 numbers in Fond du Lac County continue on a downward trajectory.

While the new confirmed case count hit triple digits again on Friday, the numbers continue to show some slight improvement, with 112 new cases reported by the Fond du Lac County Health Department.

Active cases took a huge nose dive, with a drop of over 2,000 cases , which bumped up released cases by almost 2200. The county has now reported over 25,000 released cases of the virus since the pandemic began back in March of 2020.

Hospitalizations also dropped on Friday, down 5 to 13. One additional death was reported on Friday, taking total deaths attributed to the coronavirus to 191.
