A Sunday Afternoon ATV Accident Seriously Injures Area Malone Man

An ATV accident late Sunday afternoon sent one person to the hospital. The incident occurred Sunday afternoon just before 5 p.m., with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies responding to the intersection of Hwy 151 and HHH, in the Town of Calumet. 

Once on the scene, deputies found a 39-year old Malone man on the ground, after losing control of his ATV and thrown off. The man was flown by ThedaStar helicopter to ThedaCare in Neenah with life-threatening injuries. The man was not wearing a helmet. Alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash. 

Also assisting at the scene was the Town of Calumet Fire and First Responders and Mt. Calvary Ambulance. The crash remains under investigation.
