Additional Staffing Needed For DFP
Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership Director Amy Hansen says she would like to see her office work harder on implementing some of the suggestions made to improve the downtown. She says part of the problem is that the DFP is a two-person staff that is already very busy. She says she is disappointed she and Dusty Krikau can’t do more. She says they are stretched to the limit and if they are going to do more of these things they will need additional staffing. She says she would like to see the DFP hire a redevelopment director. She says it would be somebody who would focus on working with property owners, recruitment, redeveloping the current façades and would have more personal contact with the property owners. She says unlike the City’s Community Development Director and people with the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation, this person would focus solely on the downtown.
