Agnesian Raises The Roof On Raffle House
The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation invites the community to join them as they raise the roof on the 2013 Samaritan Health Clinic raffle house – located in the Town of Fond du Lac at N6003 Hideaway Lane in the Westfield Hideaway Subdivision – to raise funds for the Samaritan Health Clinic.
Activity is moving along at a rapid pace as Dream Builders work to install the windows and roofing at the house. The raffle, now in its 18th year, has moved its drawing date to fall, just in time for the lucky winner to move in for the holidays!
“We are pleased to welcome our new builder – Dream Builders – and all the committed subcontractors who have expressed their interest in this project and bring their expertise, as well as their civic mindedness, to contribute,” according to Rita Meidam, Agnesian HealthCare Foundation executive director. “They will be sharing progress updates with the community through our local media as we move along.
“We encourage individuals in the larger Fond du Lac area and beyond to help us raise funds for the Samaritan Health Clinic,” Meidam adds. “As we raise the roof, we encourage the community to drive by and see firsthand what our one lucky ticket holder will experience this fall as they move into a beautiful house.”
The drawing for the 2,248-square-foot ranch house, which is valued at $269,000, is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30. Raffle tickets will go on sale on the 4th of July, and will cost $50 each or $150 for four. The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation can now accept credit card ticket sales by phone. All other purchases will continue to occur face-to-face, without sales by mail.
The house raffle is the main source of funding for the clinic’s operations. All proceeds help provide patients with important basic health services, medications and urgent dental needs.
The health clinics at St. Agnes Hospital and Waupun Memorial Hospital are on target to welcome more than 325 new patients this year and provide nearly 350 healthcare service vouchers monthly for physician follow-up visits, vision or dental care, and medication assistance.
Dream Builders, Tom Lemiesz, sole proprietor, is constructing the three-bedroom house with a three-car garage on a large, half-acre lot in the Town of Fond du Lac. Partners by Design coordinates the furnishings and decorating for the open houses.
Beginning October 12, the house will be open to the public for viewing each weekend until the drawing. Public open houses are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 12 & 13, October 19 & 20, and October 26 & 27; from 4 to 7 p.m. on October 25 & 29; and from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on October 30. Tickets are available for sale at each open house.
