Allenton Parade Results Announced

The Allenton Annual Picnic Committee is proud to announce the float winners of the 2017 Parade, which was held last Sunday in Washington County. Over 120 entries were in the parade with 18 hired entertainers.  Some of those that were reimbursed to be a part of the parade was The Veterans Museum of Oshkosh, TJ Howell Rocket Cycle, and Tripoli Shrine Long Riders.  There were 8 bands in the parade: Pommersche Tanzdeel Freistadt, West Bend River City Irregulars, Hartford City Band, Green Beret Marching Band, Dual County Community Band, Oshkosh VFW Band and the first performance of the Slinger High School Marching Band.

Eighteen floats completed for 8 prizes starting at $200.00 for first place.  Winners of the float competition were as follows:

1^st     Allenton United Fall Festival

2^nd    Go Riteway, Liberty Float

3^rd     AYO Minor Girls 1^st place float

4^th     Memorial Go Kart

5^th     Allenton Lions

6^th     Allenton Area Advancement Association

7^th     Slinger Rhino Wrestling

8^th     The Kountry Klub

The streets of Allenton were lined the complete 1.25 mile route. 

The parade was followed with a “Concert in the Park” where all the bands in the parade participated.
