Amber alert cancelled after 6-year-old found safe

About 50 local, state and federal members of law enforcement were looking for Jordan Coyle’s white Ford F-250 in southern Portage County Saturday morning and found it in the Almond School Forest.

Coyle and the truck were at the center of an Amber Alert for Coyle’s 6-year-old niece, Ruby Lehman, who went missing Thursday in which Coyle was the suspected person responsible for her disappearance.

After finding the truck, tactical teams from Stevens Point/Plover and the Portage County Sheriff’s Office conducted a ground search.

Lehman was ultimately found safe on Saturday, and Coyle, is now in custody after officials swept the wooded area where the truck was found.

Lehman was taken to the hospital, but had no visible physical injuries, and Coyle was taken to the hospital for medical clearance.

Coyle is a registered sex offender for a 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child charge in 2008.
