Another Weekend Shooting In Fond du Lac

A second shooting in as many weekends has occurred in the City of Fond du Lac.

The latest occurred Saturday evening around 8:10 PM when Fond du Lac Police officers were patrolling the area around the 500 block of west Johnson Street when they came across a man shooting at vehicles from the parking lot of the Family Dollar.

The suspect took off running, ditching the hand gun, when officers ran towards him, but they were able to arrest him at gunpoint at the end of Bell Street, less than a block away.

The suspect was transported to SSM Health, St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac for injuries he received during the chase.

Minutes later security at the hospital advised police that a patient showed up by private vehicle with a gun shot victim.

The 32-year-old female from Fond du Lac appeared to have non life threatening injuries.

Officers returned to the scene of the shooting and foot chase and were able to recover the gun the 21-year-old suspect from Fond du Lac had gotten rid of.

Fond du Lac Police are investigating the shooting.

Last weekend, 40-year-old Brandon A. Johnson was found in the 200 block of Marquette St deceased from an apparent gun shot wound. A 32-year-old suspect has been taken into custody in that shooting.
