Area counties investigate fatal crashes

Winnebago County authorities are investigating a two vehicle crash that happened on Highway 21 Wednesday morning, November 6, 2024, just west of the City of Oshkosh. Deputies were called to the scene just before 6 AM where they say one of the drivers was pronounced deceased and the other was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. No details have been released on how the crash occurred.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Calumet County as well Wednesday. Shortly before 2:30 PM, a report of the crash came in on Highway 10 near County Highway D. Investigation showed a 70-year-old man from Brillion, was traveling westbound on 10 when he drifted off the roadway, struck a culvert and rolled over. The 70-year-old lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
