Articulation agreement between UW-Oshkosh and MPTC could help students stay in Fond du Lac

Back in October, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Fond du Lac Campus said it was going to end in-person instruction, and transition to all on-line courses, leaving
students attending the college with the tough choice to continue their schooling online, or transfer out of the area to continue in-person classes at a different UW location.

But now another option has presented itself that could give students a chance to remain in class and in Fond du Lac.

Moraine Park Technical College and UW-Oshkosh Fond du Lac have reached an articulation agreement, meaning that associate degree students’ credits at UW Oshkosh will be able to be transferred to an MPTC associate degree program.

According to UW-Oshkosh, there are about 200 students who are pursuing an associate degree at the Fond du Lac campus that would be eligible for this transfer to the MPTC campus located in Fond du Lac.

UW Oshkosh announced the decision to close it’s Fond du Lac campus this year due to enrollment at two-year campuses falling at a rapid rate for years compared to online enrollment which has been increasing.
