At Least Six Affected By Gas Leak At Seneca In Ripon

At least 6 people needed medical attention overnight, August 7, 2023 at a Ripon food processing plant.

Around 12:45 AM, A call came into the Fond du Lac County Communication Center of some sort of gas leak in the Seneca Foods plant at 477 Douglas Street and at that time,
one person was reported feeling ill.

By the time the fire department and ambulance arrived on scene, that number had increased to four and soon after, two more people were showing symptoms
of being affected.

It’s unknown at this time what caused the gas to be present in the building, or what the status of the patients was.
