Attorney For Brookes Says Financial Situation Needs To Be Taken Into Account
Darrell Brookes Jr. Is being held in jail on a 5 million dollar cash bond after allegedly killing six people and injuring dozens more at the Waukesha Holiday Parade. At a bond hearing on Tuesday, his attorney had little in the way of argument.
“Today’s hearing, the only thing I would add for the Court’s consideration is that Mr. Brooks is financially Indigent does qualify for public defender representation and that that individual circumstance must be taken into account.”
Police say Brookes deliberately crashed into people marching in the parade. He’s facing multiple homicide charges in the case and will spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted.
