Ballweg In Line For Midwest Chair Of CSG Group

State Representative Joan Ballweg of Markesan has been elected Second Vice-Chair of the Council of State Governments (CSG) Midwest Executive Committee and is in line to become Midwest Chair in 2016.  Ballweg was nominated at the 2013 Midwestern Legislative Conference (MLC) Annual Meeting held in St. Paul, Minnesota in July by Wisconsin state Senator Fred Risser. “I’m pleased to be a part of the CSG Midwest Executive Committee and grateful for the recognition of leadership,” said Ballweg. CSG is a nonpartisan, regionally based organization, serving states and their elected officials since 1933. As Midwest Chair, Rep. Ballweg will host the 2016 MLC Annual Meeting in Wisconsin, demonstrating Wisconsin hospitality and showcasing its resources to legislators representing 11 Midwestern States and four Canadian provinces.
