BBBS Partner With Grande Cheese For Coloring Contest

For 25 years, Grande Cheese Company has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Fond du Lac County for their annual coloring contest.  Held at the YMCA in November, children produced one ‘official’ Christmas themed drawing.  Judged in the near future by Grande Associates, a winner will be selected for each age category.  An overall winner will also be chosen and turned into a Christmas card sent to over 25,000 Grande associates, customers and friends.

“BBBS is thankful to have a supporter like Grande Cheese Company” said Tammy Young, BBBS Executive Director.  “Grande supports our organization through a wide variety of programs and events, the annual coloring contest being just one of the many things they are involved in.  The coloring contest is so much more than a coloring contest, participation in the contest gives the children in our program a sense of accomplishment.  It allows them to feel better about themselves and about their future.  We know when children have opportunities to feel successful, they are more likely to avoid risky behaviors and will do better in school.”
