Beware Of Senior Photo Scammers On Social Media
I’m convinced I am one of only a handful of people that has not watched a complete episode of Tiger King. And I think I’m one of only three people who has not yet posted my senior picture from high school on social media. Before you post your senior picture, consider this: you could be victimized by scammers.
Bao (bau) Vang is with the Minnesota Better Business Bureau and says “the ultimate goal is to steal your identity, your banking information, and to part you with your hard-earned money. Don’t allow them any chance.”
People have recently begun posting senior portraits to support the graduating class of 2020 during COVID-19. Vang says it’s a good idea to check your security settings on all social media platforms to see what you are sharing and with whom you are sharing.
