Bicyclist Critically Injured In Fond du Lac
For the second time in less than a day, another bicyclist has been injured, this time critically.
FDL Fire Rescure was called out late Wednesday morning (September 22, 2021) at 11:49 am, to the area of North Military Road and Sibley Street for a middle aged male on the ground bleeding.
While crews were making their way to the scene, an emergency room physician was already on the scene and providing initial care. Upon arrival crews found a middle aged individual in critical condition who was being cared for by FDLFR’s EMS Medical Director Dr. Larsen from St. Agnes Hospital.
A bicycle was found on scene but there was no indication as to the exact cause of injuries. The individual was treated and transported directly to Fond du Lac Airport where Theda Star helicopter was waiting. The victim was transported to Thedacare emergency department in Neenah.
Fond du Lac Police Department assisted with scene and traffic control and are investigating the incident.–
