Bird walk planned for Friday evening

The City of Fond du Lac is proud to be known as a Bird City in Wisconsin. An honor achieved by meeting certain criteria in 2012 and renewed annually since then, so what better way to celebrate this then with a bird walk around a nature area in the city?

That’s exactly what Dave and Kerry Sehloff plan to do this evening with anyone interested in seeing birds that live amongst us, or others that are migrating through.

The walk takes place from 6 to 8 pm on the gravel trail around the Pond in the Camelot Business Park at 71 Camelot Drive. Organizers of the event hope to spot at least 38 different species of birds which is their record in a previous bird walk there. The walk is free to attend and binoculars and comfortable outside walking shoes are recommended.
