Multiple fire departments respond to barn fire near Oakfield

Oakfield, Lamartine, Town of Fond du Lac, some City of Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac members, a truck from Brandon Fairwater Fire Department and RIT Team 4 responded to a fully engulfed barn fire on Lost Arrow Road between River Road and County D Friday night, December 13, 2024.

Just before 9 PM, a passerby alerted the Fond du Lac County Communications Center with a 911 call and advised of the fire.

The barn and its contents is considered a complete loss including 15 pigs, small machinery and hay.

No official cause has been determined but several space heaters were in the barn which it’s believed may have something to do with the fire.
