Broadway Actor Arrested In Milwaukee

An actor in the Broadway show “Jesus Christ Superstar,” was arrested this week in Milwaukee for alleged involvement in the Capitol insurrection.

Forty-nine-year-old James Beeks was taken into custody Tuesday for his actions during the riot at the U-S Capitol January 6th. Beeks was charged with one felony count of obstruction of Congress and a misdemeanor count of unlawfully entering a restricted building or grounds. Beeks joined a group protesting Democrat Joe Biden’s election victory over former President Donald Trump. Five people died.

Beeks plays Judas in the touring Broadway production.
