Brown Bag Lunch Program
Dozens of volunteers will be busy later today serving food to those in need as part of the local Salvation Army’s Brown Bag Lunch Program. Every Thursday through August 20, excluding July 2, The Salvation Army is serving up hope and nutrition. Captain Christina Champlain says each sack lunch is packed with a peanut butter or meat sandwich, chips/snack, veggie/fruit, dessert, and a refreshing beverage.
Kids can pick up their own lunch, and families needing more than one lunch must have an adult present. There are four distribution locations with varying times.
