Buechel Is UW-FDL Spirit Of Excellence Winner

UW-Fond du Lac Dean John Short (left) presented the university’s 2014 Spirit of Excellence Award to Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel at the Corks & Forks event held on March 20. Buechel was recognized for his continued leadership and support of UW-Fond du Lac and education in the community. The Corks & Forks event featured a four-course Greek dinner served to 180 guests in the University Center Commons. Proceeds from the event will benefit student scholarships and the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation. Previous Spirit of Excellence Awards have been presented to founding campus Dean Bill Henken; Harold and Charmaine LaShay; and Judith Berger O’Brien.
