Businesses Need To Check Computer Applications
A newly discovered exploit in the Java programming platform means you need to get your business’s programs updated. Madison College security expert Mike Masino (MAH-see-no) says a common part of many Java programs was exploited to run programs without authorization.
“It’s going to be running as Java so you’re going to kind of bypass all the normal security defenses that you would have there.”
For most home users, many of those programs have been updated, but any business that uses custom Java programs ought to have their IT staff or outside profession give their programs a once over to see if they need to be patched.
