Busy Month of Events at the FDL Public Library (Audio)

Ian Stepleton of the FDL Public Library stopped by KFIZ Today Monday to talk about the following events:
- On Dec. 1, we kicked off a combined Fond du Lac Reads and Winter Reading program. These were separate programs in the past, but we are combining the two so that the community can collectively enjoy a great book (Charlie Berens’ “The Midwest Survival Guide”) while enjoying opportunities to win prizes. This program runs through Feb. 28
- We will events and activities planned throughout December for all ages that feature a fun Midwest theme
- This includes free Cheese Tasting on Tuesday, Dec. 6, our first installment of our Midwest Movie Marathon (Home Alone on Dec. 12), a Packers Family Tailgate during our monthly STEAM night filled with fun games on Dec. 19, a polka party and more.
- On Wednesday, Dec. 7, Santa is coming to the library as a part of our Winter Wonderland Celebration. In addition to photos with Santa, we will have fun activities for kids throughout the library as well as a free book for every family
- Our makerspace, the Idea Studio, has some great opportunities to create holiday gifts to give or keep for yourself
