Campbellsport Girls’ Wrestling Takes 3rd at Regionals; Four Champions Advance to Sectionals
The Campbellsport girls’ wrestling team delivered an impressive performance at today’s regional tournament, securing 3rd place out of 10 competing teams and advancing four individual champions to next week’s sectional round.
Campbellsport saw dominant showings across multiple weight classes.
- Irelyn Woolhether (107 lbs)
- Emersen Wissink (126 lbs)
- Savannah Ksioszk (132 lbs)
- Mya Schraufnagel (138 lbs)
All four wrestlers captured first-place titles in their respective brackets, punching their tickets to the sectional tournament. The team will now prepare for sectionals next Friday at Beaver Dam, where the stakes are even higher. Only the top two finishers in each weight class will advance to the WIAA State Championships. With four regional champions and strong momentum, Campbellsport heads into sectionals poised for another standout performance.
Campbellsport Wresting Coach Dan Heisdorf discussed the team with Chuck Freimund on KFIZ Sportsnight earlier this week.
