Campbellsport Man Charged With Multiple Counts Of Tax Fraud

A 69-year-old Campbellsport man who runs a tax preparation business in Kewaskum has been indicted for tax fraud. Robert Spoerl, owner of J & R Tax Service, was recently charged in a 28 count indictment. Federal prosecutors say from 2011 to 2015 he filed more than 100 false tax returns seeking more than $150,000 in federal tax returns. Victims were allegedly given an accurate copy of their tax return, which Spoerl did not file. He will be arraigned next week.
