Campbellsport man seriously hurt after falling off moving car

Fond du Lac Police are investigating an incident that occurred yesterday just before 3 p.m. on Martin Avenue near 17th Street. Police and ambulance personnel responded to the area after a man was reported to be riding on a vehicle and fell off.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found the man laying on the roadway while the vehicle involved left the area.

The 33-year-old Campbellsport man, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries before being flown to a regional trauma center for advanced medical care. Police say he remains in serious but stable condition.

Through investigative efforts, Fond du Lac Police Officers identified and located a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident in the 100 block of South Park Avenue. That vehicle has been seized as evidence, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
