Cave Of The Mounds Soon To Be Lit By Sunlight… Sort Of

The Wisconsin tourist attraction Cave of the mounds, which you hear advertised each morning on KFIZ, has installed solar panels which will help reduce their carbon footprint by more than 50% they say.

The caves, which are in the southwest part of Wisconsin, just off 151 between Mt Horeb and Barneveld are completely dark naturally, and need to be lit up by an extensive lighting system for the visitors to tour them.

Cave of the Mounds says the installation will eventually be turned into part of the interactive experience for visitors coming to the caves to enjoy and learn about.
