Change Of Venue For Fond du Lac Symphonic Band Concert Tonight Due To Heat

The Fond du Lac Symphonic Band concert which was scheduled to take place at the band shell in Buttermilk Creek Park has been relocated due to the excessive heat today, August 23, 2023. The concert now will take place at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds in the Recreation Building.

The band wraps up it’s 125th anniversary season tonight with Alumni Night and “Fan Favorites” under the baton of Music Director Evan Chancellor at 7:15 PM. The program will be a mix of music from the band’s summer series of concerts as voted on by the audience and band members.

The Symphonic Band’s summer park concerts are sponsored by the City of Fond du Lac, and a free-will offering that will be received during the evening is asked to help with costs. A food concession area will be hosted by the youth of the Church of Our Savior, who have hosted at band concerts continuously since the program began in 1976!
