Check Your Storage Unit

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Cameron McGee is asking people to check their storage units as they continue to investigate storage unit thefts from a three-county area. He says on July 26th deputies discovered a break-in into a storage unit at the North Street storage units in Rosendale. They were able to link a suspect in West Bend. Sheriff’s detectives, West Bend Police, and Washington County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant on August 3rd at the suspect’s residence and storage unit. He says they recovered a lot of stolen items, much of which remains unidentified. They recovered approximately four pickup truck loads of property.  In addition Mayville Police also recovered a large amount of property. The thefts had been occurring since 2009. Anyone who had a storage unit theft should report it to police and the Sheriff’s department.
