Children’s Museum Dinner Will Honor C.D. Smith And Betty Trent

The Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac (CMFDL) will be honoring C.D. Smith Construction and Betty Trent at its ninth annual Young At Heart celebration, scheduled for May 17th.   C.D. Smith will be presented with the “Friend of the Museum” medallion, a tradition awarded to individuals or organizations that have significantly contributed to the museum’s ability to serve the community with its hands-on exhibits and programs.  Betty Trent will be honored with the “Impact Award” after years of dedicated service to the museum serving on the museum’s advisory council, supporting a variety of the museum’s programs, and sharing her creativity and friendly demeanor with children over the years.  The public is invited to attend the Young At Heart celebration on May 17 at South Hills Golf and Country Club, beginning at 6:00pm.  Proceeds from the Young At Heart event will be used to support the museum’s $2 million Grow With Us capital campaign, which will allow the museum to reopen in its new, larger home in Fond du Lac’s Waterfront District.  Event tickets are $125 each.  Tables of 8 are also available. Tickets can be purchased at the Children’s Museum’s temporary offices (116 N. Main Street, in the lower level of the Fond du Lac Economic Development Corp. building) or charged by phone, 920-929-0707.
