Children’s Museum Of FDL Grand Re-Opening Today

It’s a special day in the history of the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac, a grand re-opening at a new location. Children’s Museum Executive Director Andrea Welsch says it was just 13 months ago that they were looking for a new location and after choosing the former Pick ‘n Save building at 75 West Scott Street it’s been a busy year repurposing the building for their use. She says without community support it wouldn’t have been possible. In addition to all the fun activities inside the building there is the 10,000 square feet of outdoor space known as WinnePLAYgo. She says they’ve raised a little over $1 million in their $2 million campaign and those who are interested in donating can check out their website or give them a call. Their phone number is (920) 929-0707.  The community is invited to the ribbon-cutting at 2:45 this afternoon. At 3 p.m. they will officially re-open with a free t-shirt for the first 100 kids. At 5 and 6 p.m. there will be musical performances by Gene Covelli.
