City Manager Says Budget In Good Shape For 2022

The summer time is typically budget time for the City of Fond du Lac, and this summer is no different – as the work to craft the 2022 city budget is set to begin over the coming weeks and months.

Even after a challenging 2020, Fond du Lac City Manager Joe Moore tells KFIZ News the budget environment for the city is in good shape for the coming year.

Between the funding from the federal government and the state government, and also sort of this almost amazing rebound in our local economy, our budget is not really feeling the effects of those things. And the effects that we did feel have been essentially negated by some of this support from the federal and state governments.”

Moore says he will be giving a preliminary budget overview at the next City Council meeting this month, then in July the council will hear from individual city departments about their budget needs for 2022.
