City of Fond du Lac announces Memorial Weekend closings

The City of Fond du Lac has announced some Memorial day closures and how garbage collection will be affected by the holiday.

City offices in the City/County Government Center will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of the holiday.

The Municipal Service Center will also be closed May 26 for all services, including refuse and recycling collection and bulky waste drop off.

Garbage normally collected on Monday will be collected on Tuesday, May 27 with the normal Tuesday collection. Its asked that you have your materials set out by 5:00 am on Tuesday to accommodate the additional collections. Recycling collection will not take place on Monday, Waste Management says there will be a one-day service delay throughout the remainder of week.

City Transit buses will not operate on May 26, but will resume regular routes on May 27.

The Senior Center will be closed on May 26 and reopen May 27.

And the Fond du Lac Public Library will be closed beginning Saturday, May 24 through Monday, May 26. and will reopen on Tuesday, May 27.
