Conference Tournament Wrestling Results – 2/8/2020
FVA:
Fond du Lac placed sixth at the Fox Valley Association Wrestling Championships on Saturday. The Cardinals scored 105 team points, and were led by a trio of second place finishers on the day. Isaac Ortegon (152 pounds), Josiah Streblow (160 pounds) and Joe Schmitz (285 pounds) all finished second place in their weight class, while Tristan Lakey (138 pounds) and Jon Vanna (170 pounds) took third place. Joe Herrera placed fourth at 106 pounds for Fondy.
Kaukauna won the FVA Championship with 277 team points, Kimberly was second with 170.5 points and Neenah third with 160.5 points.

Team Highlights:
Lomira had five wrestlers win conference championships in their weight class. Alex Gundrum (138 pounds), Adam Sauer (145 pounds), Cauy Pastorius (182 pounds), Abe Helsell (195 pounds) and Jared Neill (285 pounds) won titles on Saturday for the Lions. Lomira also had six wrestlers take second place in their weight class.
North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs had three wrestlers win conference championships in their weight class. Zack Williams (113 pounds), Andrew Forsythe (170 pounds) and Marcus Orlandoni (220 pounds) all won titles for the Oriole/Ledger team. NFDL/SMSA had four wrestlers take second place – Gadge Holmes (132), Lane Fritch (182), Jacob Koffman (195) and Avery Hull (285).
Laconia had three wrestlers win conference championships in their weight class. Colton Lovejoy (132 pounds), Brodey Schroeder (152 pounds) and Tyler Lovejoy (160 pounds) each won titles for the Spartans on Saturday. Ted Holdmann (126 pounds) and Chas Glewen (145 pounds) took second place for Laconia.
Omro had two conference champions on Saturday – Bryce Crowley (106 pounds) and Kaden Besaw (126 pounds). The Foxes had one wrestler take second place in their weight class – Kyle Dietzen at 220 pounds
Winnebago Lutheran had one wrestler win a conference championship on Saturday. Carson Fulton at 120 pounds was the lone title winner for the Vikings. WLA had Josh Roloff place second at 138 pounds and Caleb Olson (113 pounds), Owen Moin (132 pounds) and Terry Guell (152 pounds) place third.
St. Lawrence Seminary had 10 of their 14 wrestlers take fourth place in their weight class at Saturday’s Flyway Conference tournament.
Mayville was led by Zane Vetter at 170 pounds who took fourth place in his weight class

East Central Conference:
Waupun placed third at the East Central Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday. The Warriors finished with a total of 146.5 team points, and were led by five second place finishers on the day. Caiden DeGroff (120 pounds), Isaac Glewen (132 pounds), Trevor Roecker (145 pounds), Zackry Pemberton (195 pounds) and Darren Wittchow (285 pounds) all took second place in their weight class.
Waupun also had two, third place finishers on Saturday – Easton Hull (113 pounds) and Anthony Nighbor (138 pounds).
Campbellsport placed sixth at the ECC Wrestling Tournament with 128 team points. Roman Skorupa won the Conference Championship at 126 pounds to lead the Cougars on the day. Campbellsport also got two, second place finishers – Drake Muellenbach (113 pounds), and Devyn Urban (152 pounds). Dylan Urban (160 pounds) placed third for the Cougars.
Ripon placed seventh at the ECC Wrestling Tournament with 84.5 team points. The Tigers were led by two, second place finishers – LeeRoy Cotton (126 pounds) and Lucus Scheirer (220 pounds) and a third place finisher, Ethan Zache at 145 pounds.

Trailways:
Oakfield placed 10th at the Trailways Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday. The Oaks totaled 59 team points, and were led by a pair of third place finishers in Corbin Hein (126 pounds) and Louis Schraufnagel (220 pounds). Austin Gitter placed fourth at 285 pounds for the Oaks.

Eastern Wisconsin Conference:
Chilton/Hilbert took second place at Saturday’s EWC Conference Tournament with 222 team points. Chilton/Hilbert had three wrestlers win conference championships – Joe Boehnlein (132 pounds), Gaven Lisowe (160 pounds) and Trent Breckheimer (170 pounds) all won titles on Saturday. Maverik Ott (138 pounds), Reed Breckheimer (195 pounds) and Bryce Wurm (220 pounds) all took second place.
Kiel placed third at Saturday’s conference meet with 188 team points. The Raiders had one conference champion – Andrew Schad at 126 pounds. Four wrestlers took second place in their weight class for Kiel – Max Schaefer (113 pounds), Alex Kleinhans (160 pounds), Jeb Sippel (182 pounds) and Jason Klauk (285 pounds).
New Holstein took sixth place at Saturday’s conference meet with 114 team points. The Huskies were led by two, third place finishers – Joey Belair (113 pounds) and Kaleb Lisowe (120 pounds).
