Congressman Grothman Comments On Israel Visit

Congressman Glenn Grothman took his first trip abroad as a Congressman last month. The trip was to Israel. He was impressed with their irrigation system and a wall that keeps people out that will cause trouble.  Israel’s missile defense program also made an impression. He feels they have a strong system that is capable of shooting down missiles that are launched against Israel. He also toured a site overlooking the Golan Heights. He saw the line between the Syrian Government and what they are controlling and rebel-controlled area and how close it is to Israel if missiles were set up there. Grothman says the degree to which the American Government and Israeli Government work together on missile defense is especially important with nuclear missile threats from Iran and North Korea.
