Court Appearance Made In Fond du Lac Stabbing Incident
The man accused of stabbing a man in Fond du Lac in August has made his initial appearance in court Thursday, October 6, 2022 after being charged with Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide.
Vickendrika M. Jones has been charged after the August 6th stabbing outside the Press Box Tavern in the City of Fond du Lac.
According to a criminal complaint, at approximately 1:50 AM on August 6th, an officer from the City of Fond du Lac Police Department was dispatched to SSM Health/St Agnes Hospital
for a report of a man with stab wounds.
The victim’s girlfriend advised the officer that Jones and her boyfriend got into a fight as they were leaving the Press Box and as they got in their car, she realized he was bleeding and took him to the hospital.
Police made contact with Jones via phone and convinced him to turn himself in which Jones did on August 8th.
The Court set bond at $1 million dollars with a status conference scheduled for October 12 at 11:00 to address the defendant’s right to counsel and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 14, 2022 at 2:30 p.m.
This case is being investigated by the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and prosecuted by District Attorney Eric Toney.
